Case of 24, 200ml bottles.
100% Glera grapes from hillside vineyards (30-300m absl), with a sunny exposure, near Conegliano. Soil is primarily morianic in origin, with some clay composition, and combined with a unique microclimate helps produce a sparkling wine that is both intense and characteristic. Guyot trellising is used.
The first alcoholic fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The secondary fermentation, to create the bubbles, took about one month via the Charmat (Tank) method.
It is fully-sparkling (spumante), at 5-bar pressure, bottled “extra-dry”, meaning that there is about 14 gr/l residual sugar – just barely noticeable, but an important element in the wine’s popularity. Alcohol is 11%/vol., and total acidity is 5.7g/l.
Screw cap 200ml bottle - approximately equal to 7 fluid ounces.
Our tasting note:Bright, pale straw yellow in colour with greenish highlights. Fully sparkling with a fine and persistent perlage. Offers up intense, rich aromas of green apple, apricot, citrus (lime, lemon and pinkgrapefruit), and melon. Crisp and dry, with a full and lively, fresh finish.
Pairings:An excellent aperitif wine, it will also match a wide array to foods – particularly hors d’oeuvres -- and makes a great match for shellfish, sushi, and white meats. .
