Made from 100% Shiraz grapes sourced from Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale, and Riverland district in South Eastern Australia. The vintage was very good, with harvest dates about a month later than usual, and red wines from this vintage show very good varietal characteristics.
Traditional red wine vilification with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The finished wine was aged for about 12 months in seasoned French-oak hogsheads.
Tasting Note: Deep rich dark crimson with purple hues. Aromas and flavours of blackberry, red currant, and raspberry with hints of licorice, soy, dark chocolate, and savoury spices. Mid weight; the tannins are soft, yet offer structure and elegance to the wine. Alc./vol. 14%, RS 1.3 gr/L.
Menu Match: East to drink on its own, it’s also a versatile match with medium-bodied dishes, including meat-based dishes (grilled lamb chops), barbecue, and roasted vegetables.
