Translated, the name refers to the “landscape of the islands”. A collaborative project between winegrowers and winemakers, working with history, small parcels, varieties, climate, and origin - representing the terroirs and grapes of the Canaries.
This dry white wine is made of 100% Forastera blanca, a very rare grape and hard to find growing anywhere but on the Island of La Gomera. The grapes are hand-harvested around the end of August.
Vinification is in temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks, and then aged for 5 months in new 500-litre French-oak barrels. 13.0% alc./vol.
Our Tasting Note:Bright, straw yellow colour. Complex, tropical/floral aromatics reminiscent of pear and orange/lemon citrus with floral notes of green olive, almonds, butterscotch, and the sea. Full-bodied, well-balanced, crisp acidity, and a dry, elegant, clean finish. Definitely has the ability to age. Alc./vol. 13.5%
Pairings: Sushi, white meats, grilled fish and richer-style shellfish, creamy pastas, rice dishes, cheese platters, and earthy vegetarian dishes.
