100% Garnacha ; the grapes are hand-harvested, in small boxes, from the 24 ha La Huerta vineyard. The vines have an average age of 25+ years, and some are over 100 years old. No pesticides are used. The soil is shallow clay, and the exposure is south; perfect conditions for heat-loving Garnacha.
Alcoholic fermentation in cement tanks, then 90% of the wine is aged in an egg-shaped concrete vat, while the rest is aged in 2nd-passage French-oak barrels. Alc./vol.: 13.5%.
Approximately 7000 bottles produced.
