Independent family winemakers since 1901, they grow their own grapes, harvest, and make the wines that they age and market around the world. Estelle Roumage, who currently runs the Château, is the 5th generation winemaker.
The Château is located in the northern part of the Entre-deux-Mers appellation of Bordeaux, in the small town of St. Germain du Puch. The vineyards are HVE certified (Haute Valeur Environmentale Level 3) and in organic conversion.
Estelle Roumage adheres to the philosophy that winemaking starts in the vineyard itself, adopting sustainable winegrowing practices in order to respect the balance of the soil. Pruning is adapted to the vine and biodiversity in the vineyard is encouraged. In the winery, each parcel is vinified with minimal intervention to respect and optimize the characteristics of the vintage and the terroir. Subtle use of oak in the ageing process allows the personality of the wines to show through, with the upmost appeal.
