Inspired by the traditional cooking of their Italian grandparents, the DiFruscias created Bertoldi’s, to offer classic Italian food, made from scratch with only the freshest ingredients possible. Outstandingly flavourful dishes created by Chef John include platters of antipasti for sharing, homemade specialty pastas, and delicious grilled or baked meat and fish dishes (the wood-oven roasted trout is a personal favourite).
The wine list offers a fantastic range of specially imported selections from across Italy’s 20 regions, and most are available by the 6 or 9oz glass. Groups of family and friends are invited to gather in Bertoldi’s “Masottina” room, showcasing Canada’s largest selection of Masottina wines in a private dining room setting.
